Troscot Tailoring is located on Calea Mosilor since the 80s. The tailor used to make suits and jackets. Over time, he decided to concentrate on retouching garments and tailoring from strach skirts and blouses – and perhaps dresses if he enjoys the pattern and the customer.

Mendeleev street is protected by the noise of Magheru Bvd, but has a lot of advantages because it’s vecinity. Next to all the coffee shops here we can find the tailor shop where Mr Alexandru has been working for more than 60 years. The shop keeps the old rules, where the sewing machines are in the back, so the clients can’t see them. In front, where all the orderes are taken, on a mannequin, stands a jacket that tells how skilled the tailor is. Made from scratch, not missing any phase, for a somebody that is not accustomed with details, may seem not a big deal. But just take a closer look to the buttonhole,

Mrs. Grecu worked at Artim cooperative since its begining, back when the inhabitants of Bucharest were wearing tailor-made costumes and the shelves of the workshop were filled with fabrics and orders. She has been assigned to various units of the cooperative, and she arrived in the Iuliu Maniu unit a year ago. All well and good, only customers not too many, because once you change the location the customers stay in their place and find something closer to home.
